Rainy, is this something normal that Rainlendar takes about 30% of the CPU on Ubuntu 7.10 (KDE 3.5) all the time?
It's usually unacceptable for most people doing any computing intensive work on a PC.

brajan, it doesn't seem to drawing the window after the tooltip is hidden. Do you have composite enabled (desktop effects)? Or does this happen with and without it?

mad, the cpu usage depends on the skin you're using. I haven't checked how things work in KDE but at least in Gnome the default windows in Chromophore show about 0.3% cpu usage. If I add the analog clock window the usage goes to 0.7% since the window must be updated every second. If I change the scaling to 200 the cpu jumps to 20%. This is because the bicubic filtered scaling is a quite heavy operation so I don't recommend using it in constantly updated windows (i.e. clocks).

Sweetthd3ViL, Check the ones which are under the [OverriddenSettings/Chromophore/Calendar]-section.

following the section you mention:

Code:

[OverriddenSettings/Chromophore/Calendar]
LinkedWindow=
GrowUpwards=0
WindowScale=100
WindowVisible=1
CalendarFilter=
IncludedCategories=
ExcludedCategories=

I fixed the display by adding the two following line, however i tried to change it by grabbing rainlendar, and yet again it doesn't seem to write the new config into the file.

Code:

WindowPositionX=72
WindowPositionY=150

The right of rainlendar2.ini at in reading only by my user, should I cahnge it?

Quick edit:

I did change the rights of the file, bit it didn't seem to have made any effect, however I did not restart Ubuntu, I just restart Rainlendar.

Many thanks,

Looking forward for your reply,

I don't have enabled a desktop effects because I've to slow graphic card (RivaTNT2) so I can't to check it with desktop effects enabled.
And when tooltip is hidden the window is drawn correctly. The problem appears when the second tooltip shows. Then this "empty place" after first tooltip is showing.
