I'd like to be able to click or double click on a field displayed in Manager and type directly into it instead of having to double click to load the Event window then select the field and type. Like in Windows file managers you can select a filename and then it makes the filename editable... if that makes sense.

I can check if that's possible. The problem this approach is though that the list in the manager doesn't show all the information (e.g. end of line characters are removed) so making edits there would cause data loss.

Maybe make it so that a single-item mouse selection expands the items from one line display to a two line display with all of the fields, so there is no data loss.

And for multiple-item mouse selection, it does not expand all fields, but instead you push a button in a toolbar to edit multiple. When you push the button, a blank event window pops up and whatever you place in the fields, it applies the change to the fields for all of the events selected.
