TOPIC: network shared calendar local cache

network shared calendar local cache 7 Years, 10 Months ago
Has any work around or solution to this been found?

Having the network shared calendar cached locally is definately needed. Adding the events to two seperate calendars gets messy.

( This was supposed to be a reply to www.rainlendar.net/cms/index.php?option=com_joomlaboard&Itemid=27&func=view&id=720&catid=8 but I screwed up )

Post edited by: prefect, at: 2006/12/23 15:28

Possibility to cache the files locally was implemented in build 30.

That new feature included in build 30 is definitely nice. I'm using Google Agenda as a network agenda.

When I add something in "TO DO", Rainlendar trys to upload the change. The result is always a network misstake.

It would be nice to have the option to enable/disable the upload try.

I noticed similar problem myself too. I my case the online calendar I had subscribed was changed and now Rainlendar tries to upload the old events back every time I start it. I'll try to do something about this.

It might be a little bit OT here, but I won't open a new thread for this:

Always while I resume my XPSP2 from Standby, I got instantly an error message, that there is no connection to my WEBdav share.

Confirming the dialog and refreshing rainlendar after a few seconds manually, all work fine.

I think the windows network comes up with a delay after resuming (the efect is worse on my WLAN Client).

So I suggest, if rainlendar delays synchronizing itself a bit aswell, the Error message could be suppressed.

(Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Rainlendar should automatically retry to download the events if the network is down. I think the poll delay is one minute so you'll have to wait a bit more than few seconds.
