TOPIC: Identify events causing error messages

Identify events causing error messages 2 Years, 6 Months ago
Rainy:

I have a persistent error message when the computer boots and Rainlendar launches: "Unable to upload event. Recurrence format illegal" or something like that.

The problem is that the offending event is not identified in any way and it is impossible to search through every event trying to find which is at fault.

Would it be possible for there to be a link to incorrect events so you can just click on the link and go to the event. Then it would be possible to fix it. Otherwise, I am in the dark and just have to put up with this message.

Hedley

That's a good idea. I'll check if it can be done.

If you get the error on startup it means that the invalid event has been stored to the offline file. You can get rid of the error if you disable the offline file setting, sync with Google and re-enable the setting again.

I tried cancelling the offline data file, then chose Refresh from the menu. This resulted in this alert:

The previous message complained about not being able to upload an event. This one is complaining about not being able to download the calendars! Actually, I have been seeing this one for a few days and cannot understand the problem.

The error is related to the import limit setting. Can you send me the Rainlendar's debug log when you get this error? You can use the Rainlendar's support email address.

I've got the same problem, I think.

I also tried to "disable offline", refresh (even exit), and even before turning the setting back on, like you suggested, I got that error again (and also after). It does look a bit different though. See screenshot.
