Opacity - Transparency - Background 6 Months, 1 Week ago
Couldn't find a similar post, so forgive me if it's allready posted and point me to the discussion please

Calendars Opacity option doesn't work, it hasen't worked for ages, so I suppose we need this as a suggestion for future versions.
- Make Calendar Opacity setting, available, just like ToDo, Events etc.

When setting Opacity on one window all windows change opacity.
This makes it a general settings, witch it is not.
- Make it possible to set overall opacity/transparency and have an advanced option that turn off or on the "Opacity in window settings, sets opacity on all windows"
- Or just make the Opacity rule thae Window as expected.

EDIT : Changed the Subject, to also include the word Background, for easier understanding and correct search result, based on the content of this Topic.

You can already define the transparency per window but you need to do it from the settings file since there is no user interface for it. Here are instructions how to set the per window settings: wiki.rainlendar.info/index.php?title=Per-window_settings

The settings for transparency are TransparencyNormal and TransparencyMouseOver and you can use values from 0 to 255.

Thanks for the fast reply Rainy

I think I have misguided you all.

What I was looking for is the background, just like the ToDo list, with defult Opacity behavior.

I checked out theese settings with the values 0, 25 and 255 in the Transparency* settings, this -of course- didn't do what I was looking for
[OverriddenSettings/Shadow4]

[OverriddenSettings/Shadow4/Calendar]
TransparencyNormal=25
TransparencyMouseOver=25
Show_background=1

I dislike doing Skin modifications, because of future update mismatch.
And concidering that all other Windows have backgrounds, why doesn't the Calendar Windows, I find it kind of odd.

Is there anyway to do the background for Calendars in the Settings dialogs or any of the .ini files?

The Shadow4 calendar does not have a background so you cannot add one just by editing an ini-file. You would have to edit the skin's xml files and add the background image to the calendar manually.
