TOPIC: run application / cmd on event

run application / cmd on event 7 Years, 5 Months ago
Hi,

as the topic says I'd love to have a feature that enables cmds on events. E.g. I know that I have to do a reboot tomorrow, so I just add an event for tomorrow with time and the cmd shutdown -r -F. On most linux systems thereŽs crontab but this works only on regular base. so youŽd have to add an entry and remove it afterwards.

I donŽt know if there are problems saving this into the iCal files but still I'd really appreciate that feature.

bye bye,

It might be possible to extend the alarm so that it could execute commands. However at least in the rebooting example the problem is that if the command is executed before the alarm is dismissed you'd be rebooting every time Rainlendar is started.
