Remember default calendar for event and todo 6 Years, 9 Months ago
Hello!

I have a simple suggestion: I use a google calendar and an online ics calendar (access via FTP). As google calendar interface is limited, you can't add a todo to this type of calendar. As a result, I would find it very convenient if rainlendar could remember :

- the last (or a default) calendar for todo
- the last (or a default) calendar for event

For the moment, rainlendar only remembers the last calendar used (this is the same for todo and event). As a result, when I add a todo, my ics calendar is set as the last used, then when I try to add an event, I have to uncheck the ics one and check the google one:

Thanks !

You can do this already with the latest builds (or well sort of). Create a template and choose the calendar you want to use in it. Then just save it as the default and it will be used always when you create a new event. You can do this separately for the tasks too.

That's excellent ! Thank you, I didn't know about templates. They open many possibilities.

Here's a little how-to in order to explain a bit:

- in the new event window, select the calendar(s) you want to use by default
- in the menu, click Template then save template
- In the same menu, click set the default template and select the template you have just created

Repeat the same operation with Tasks, it should work.

Bye,

Lionel.
