Alarm Screen Scroll Bar suggestion 3 Years, 7 Months ago
Hi guys!

I don't know if I can do that so far, but I miss a scrollbar in Alarm pop-up screen edge.
I have more then 400 "todo" items, need them to be ordered by hour and minutes (besides day, month and year), so whem I start Rainlendar the Alarm screen pos-up like a long board surfing tool that takes a lot to drag up and down to see them.

I'm sticking with Rainlendar 2.7 (B91) 64bit.
Just for a better figure, I'm using it like a CRM (clint register) so all my calls and any information that I get from those clients (names, values, etc) I need to take notes, so I keep opening all my todo items all the time.

Now my Rainlendar started to freeze for about 18 secs even if I have my hand not even close to my notebook.
If I click on it, it freezes again. If I click 'OK' after any changes, it freezes again; after those freezes it returns to "normal" 'till the next freezing attack...

I suspect that the freezing is caused by the window redrawing. If you have a lot of tasks visible and the size of the window grows very large it takes time to draw everything to the screen. The alarm window especially is a problematic since it will automatically redraw itself in every minute to update the due times.

What you can try is to remove the alarm window from the active skin (Options->Skins, click "Advanced >>>" button) and see if that helps with the freezing.

Yep, seems to be the Alarm screen that weighs a lot.
But now I have to keep working with this tiny TODO window.

Maybe there's a better skin for that, then...

...any suggestions?

I like the Chromophore 'cause it shows many features that I could not find in other skins...

But it's too small to work all day with it, you know?...

The Shadow4 skin's to do window allows you to increase its size from the skin's settings. You can also make the text larger from Options->Advanced->Font Scale.

There is no automatic way to do it but what you can try is to open the ics file with a text editor and change the "VTODO" to "VEVENT" and "DTDUE" to "DTEND" (or "DTSTART" if the task doesn't define a start date). Note that events don't support all the same features as tasks so you might lose some information in this process. And remember to make backups before you start editing the ics file.
