TOPIC: Need help with "FREE" layout of the calendar
#20554
Need help with "FREE" layout of the calendar 6 Months ago
I use Rainlendar 2.12 Pro.
I'm trying to create a new skin looking like the screenshot,
using layout="FREE" for the calendar.
(--> see attachment for my skin so far)

The day numbers appear where I want them, that works pretty well.
But, the weekday names are rendered above the day numbers no
matter what I try ! (I want them in the upper right corner of the cell)
Furthermore, the <eventtext> elements don't show up at all !?
(they should go below the day number in the respective day's cell)

Can some of the experienced skin developers please help me ?
What do I do wrong ?

(BTW, I also tried another design usin the GRID layout, where the
eventtext did appear, but I couldn't control the height of the rows.
I set the width and height of the calendar window and the columns
were evenly spread across the width, but the rows did not use the
given height, each row using less than 1/5 of the window's height)

Thanks for any help !

The free layout haven't been used much so it seems to be quite buggy. The weekday coordinates don't work at all and the event texts get drawn in incorrect location. I'll fix those in the next build. Btw, you need to define the "w" and "h" for the <days> element or otherwise the event text don't get any dimension.

OK, thanks for the reply. I tried my custom GRID layout one more time, and without the eventtext, I at least get the days where I want them to be, using the "w" and "h" attributes. So I'm hoping for the next version for the eventtext.
